Update number 2

So, I guess if you start a blog you should actually write on it... right? Don't worry, I'll get better at this.

Since I last posted...

We got married! WOOH!!!

Since the wedding, we have been living in Jackson, MS preparing for the big move to Honduras. I have been taking a lot of training classes for teaching and also had the opportunity to help teach a dance workshop at a local church. All of the preparations are getting me REALLY excited for all that we will be doing down there. The Lord has been so good to us! He has opened up many opportunities for Jonathan to work and stay busy while we have been here in Jackson. The Lord is so faithful to provide!
(This is one of the projects that Jonathan got to work on)

This past month and a half has been full of learning and new experiences! I am getting to practice and improve my cooking :) So far Jonathan says it is pretty good

Jonathan got to try a men's ballet class for fun (no... I didn't make him do it). He did pretty good for his first class!

WE GOT OUR PLANE TICKETS!!! YAY!
Departure day is scheduled for August 11th and we will arrive in Teguc on the 12th. There is a lot to get ready before then, but I think we can fit it all in.

Thoughts from Jonathan...
So we have been married for just over a month and a half, it is wonderful! The thing is that only time will tell if our marriage will be a good one or a bad one, but at least that time has started accumulating. We have heard so many things about marriage many positive many negative, the main factor in determining which way we will go and how ours will be is if in the moment by moment we seek Jesus and let Him make it what he has designed it and desires it to be. It seems it's no different from anything else that if you put the energy into caring and allow the Lord to work He will make it beautiful. Jesus has been teaching me some things and some things about myself that I didn't know or at least didn't have to face before, and even though it's hard like sanctification is it's still good to have that familiar bittersweet of refining fire and intimacy, the Lord is good and blessed be my Rock! He has given me Alycia my sweet wonderful God fearing wife and we are so close to being on the mission field! There is still so much of an unknown factor to it but we trust the Lord and we will just have to get our feet wet.

That is all for now. It is going to take some practice, but I'll get better at updating more frequently :)
